THE SUSCEPTIBILITY OF CANDIDA SPP AGAINST ANTIFUNGAL AGENTS

Abstract

The current study included 70 samples from patients with Candida from a hospital of Medical City / education labs - Baghdad, and ranged in age from (4 months - 60 months) for both sexes, where the number of males (40) as a percentage (57.14%) while the number of females (30) as a percentage (42.58%), the direct examination was conducted using potassium hydroxide KOH 10%. As well as microscopic examination and laboratory transplantation for all samples, for the purpose of investigating the candidiasis, also. Vitek System examination was conducted on all positive samples for microscopy and laboratory transplantation; and so to be diagnosed on the species level, and this study included using (4) anti-fungal equipped from State Company for medicines and medical supplies Samarra - Iraq, an (Fluconazole, Clotrimazole, Nystatin, Salicylic acid), anti-fungal used by Well Diffusion to know the resistance of Candida and its sensitivity toward used anti-fungal, and also this study included determining the genetic relationship, genetic distance and find the genetic print of some sensitive isolates and resistance using (5) primers by indicators of ISSR.
