Abstract

The article presents the results of many year's research aimed at studying the influence of temperature and deficiency of moisture on the productivity of soft spring wheat species of various ripeness groups on the leached black soils and gray forest soils in the northern forest-steppe of the Novosibirsk region. The climatic conditions have been assessed. The climate's tendency to change toward more arid one has been noted, especially in the critical periods of soft spring wheat development. It has been established that hydrothermal conditions of the vegetation period rather than its varietal features have greater effect on the yield of spring wheat.
