SIMULATION FOR METHANOL MANUFACTURING PROCESS USING WASTE WATER SLUDGEVIJAYA ILANGO AND SNATIKA SARKARAbstract Methanol is an industrially important chemical which finds application as a raw material in the manufacture of other chemicals. It is important to devise innovative production processes that are not only commercially viable but also environmentally clean. This paper discusses the modification of suggested process for methanol production and simulation for this process carried out using ASPEN plus software. The process describes the manufacture of methanol from biogas obtained from anaerobic digestion of wastewater sludge.
