A COMPREHENSIVE STUDY OF TREATMENT TECHNOLOGIES FOR REUSE OF GREYWATERVANDANA SINGH, AMARJEET KAUR AND N.C. GUPTA
Wastewater can be viewed as an important resource which could be diverted for variety of application to water starved areas with appropriate treatment. Greywater (GW) is characterized by low organic pollutants concentration and it constitutes a large source of domestic wastewater which is constantly available throughout the year. Reuse and recycle of GW is still not very popular and need in depth study. Various treatment technologies have been studied for treating GW. These technologies have their own pros and cons due to which there adoption needs careful consideration before finalization. In this paper, various technologies of GW treatment have been discussed with the objective of enabling researchers/planner to consider GW as an important resource.
