CLUSTERED ERROR CONTROL USING CROSS LAYER DESIGN RELIABLE ROUTING FOR EFFICIENT AGRICULTURE MONITORING

M. Parameswari and T. Sasilatha

Abstract

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) have a wide range of application and also play a major role in developing a precision and timely information on agriculture concern. Sensor nodes are placed in the field to monitor and control the agricultural field. The objective of this system is to collect data with accuracy and low latency. Wireless sensor nodes are found to be good enough to collect and process the environmental data with low latency and low energy consumption. Collecting and processing the data by means of clustering will greatly reduce the congestion data rate. Error control is of most noteworthy for WSN since it has severe energy limitations and low power communication necessities. Cross Layer Design based Reliable Routing and Error control (CLDRREC) is proposed for declining error in WSN includes cluster formation, data aggregation, error reduction and transmitting data via agro agent nodes. The Quality of Service (QoS) for different kind of data can be improved by reducing error rate using cross layer error control during data aggregation. Advanced Automatic Repeat Request (AARQ) is the error control module consists of ARQ with Hadamard codes used to reduce the data retransmission and additional delay caused. The metrics improves the efficiency of the proposed scheme up to 1.4% with respect to the conventional methods.
