AN EVALUATION OF TEACHERS’ AWARENESS LEVEL OF AIR POLLUTION IMPACTS ON STUDENTS’ TRAINING QUALITY IN TEHRAN PRIMARY SCHOOLS AND ITS COMPARISON WITH OTHER SCHOOLS

Abstract

In the current study statistics of working days suspensions for air pollution of Tehran city and reduction of effective learning span in schools are considered. It is attempted to inform and aware teachers about the stated impacts, finally it is tried to widespread e-leaning. In order to administer this study many physicians, practitioners and pediatricians were interviewed. To assess and evaluate teachersÂ’ knowledge and awareness about air pollution adverse impacts and their effects on children learning process a pre-test was administered, after that an educational workshop was arranged for them, they were provided with an informative brochure. In the following phase a post-test was administered to evaluate and distinguish their level of awareness and finally the results and statistics were compared with each other.
