One stage pyrometallurgical recycling of radioactive scrap metal using experimental MAGMA melting facility has been proposed, thus confirming possibility to implement the considered flowchart on pilot scale with obtaining of deactivated metal suitable for commercial applications without constraints. Entrapment and reliable conditioning of minor amount of secondary solid radioactive scrap metal has been substantiated and tested. Pilot site of one stage deactivation of radioactive scrap metal in MAGMA-3 melting facility has been designed and developed.
