Abstract

It has been established that the highest water pollution levels in the river Tom are observed during the spring flood time. Seasonal variations of the hydro-chemical water characteristics of the river Tom on the border of Kemerovo and Tomsk regions revealed the tendency for the anthropogenic products to increase as well as high concentration of organic substances in the water of the river Tom which indicates the low level of industrial waste removal. As 70% of the Arctic fresh-water flow is supplied by the waters of Yenisei, Ob and their feeders comprehensive scientific research consolidated by the grant programs and field research in the basin and on the coasts of the Kara sea are required to study the factors impacting the formation of the Arctic fresh-water.
