Abstract

Bottle gourd cv. Warad (MGH4) with three growth regulators having three concentration NAA (80,100 & 120ppm), GA3 (20,40 & 60 ppm) and Ethrel (5,10 & 20 ppm). The growth regulators were sprayed at four leaf stage and pre flowering stage. Growth regulator NAA 100 ppm was found most effective treatment, i.e. vine length (8.85 m), Number of node to first male flower appearance (7.86), Number of node to first female flower appearance (8.69), Number of male flowers per vine (49.35), No. of female flowers per vine (18.85), days to initiation of first male flower (59.20), days to initiation of first female flower (60.81), diameter of fruit (17.34 cm), highest fruit length (43.53cm), fruit weight (1.549 kg), Number of fruits per plant (10.82), fruit yield per plant (17.759 kg), total fruit yield (65.48 t/ha), Ascorbic acid (11.19 mg/100g), T.S.S (18.150 Brix) and seed-pulp ratio (1:10.18).
