DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY OF LOK BAINTAN FLOATING MARKET TOURISM AREA IN SOUTH KALIMANTAN PROVINCE, INDONESIAEllyn Normaleni
This paper aims to formulate tourism development strategy at the tourism area of Lok Baintan floating market in South Kalimantan province. This was quantitative descriptive method by using analysis of SWOT: IFAS and EFAS. The result showed that the strategy need to be implemented in the development of Lok Baintan floating market, among others creating destination image, expanding a package tour, arranging a tourist attraction in which a tourist can directly participate and interact with creative environmental education approach and cultural education approach, packaging a travel for special interest, tourism managers have to involve community, development of river tourism topography, settlement tourism topography and plantation tourism topography, as well as establishing and developing Tourism Awareness Group.
