FABRICATION AND CHARACTERISATION OF NOVEL CHITOSAN MORINGA OLEIFERA PROTEIN NANOCOMPOSITE

Abstract

A novel nanocomposite of Chitosan Moringa oleifera coagulant protein crosslinked with glutaraldehyde was prepared by solvent casting method. The nanocomposite was characterized by SEM EDX.SEM studies revealed the effect of coagulant protein addition to the film. The main focus of the present study was to determine the optimum time for hexavalent chromium removal capacity of nanocomposite from synthetic waste water. SEM results showed porous nature of nanocomposite and nanocomposite showed high percentage of chromium removal at 120 minutes.
