ESTIMATION OF PARAMETERS FOR SINGLE DIODE SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC CELL BY GRASS HOPPER OPTIMIZATION ALGORITHM

Abstract

The designing of V-I characteristics in recent past for one diode solar photovoltaic (PV) cell gained more importance for many scientists. The important disadvantage in actual designing is the absence of report regarding the system parameters actual values, particularly saturation current of diode, generated photo current, ideality factor of diode, shunt resistance and series resistance. In array to have a better accordance among experimental data and the results of the system, extracting the parameters by employing the optimization approach is must. Moreover we know the one diode solar PV cells characteristics (V-I) are non-linear in nature, so outstanding optimization approach is appropriate. Here, Grass Hopper optimization Algorithm (GOA) depend extraction of parameters method are implemented to estimate the unknown parameters of one diode solar PV cell system model. Uncomplicated concept, easy utilization and great achievement are the important comprehension of GOA acceptance to deal with complicated optimization issue. The performance of GOA variants is verified by correlative study with various apparatus. Simulation and experimental results proves the eminence of GOA depend algorithm by correlative algorithm in designing the one diode solar PV system and it conveys to be better in conservation of energy compared with others.
