ECOLOGICAL CONDITION OF YAKUTIA LANDSCAPES AND THE ROLE OF PROTECTED AREAS IN CONSERVATION OF LANDSCAPE DIVERSITYAlexey Nikolaevich GorokhovAbstract The assessment of the representativity of landscape diversity in the system of protected areas of Yakutia and the analysis of anthropogenic transformation of landscapes are given in the article. The assessment of landscape diversity and the representativity of the protected areas system of Yakutia is carried out taking into account natural zoning and zone division. The tundra landscapes of Northeast Yakutia and northtaiga landscapes of Central Yakutia are characterized by the maximum representativity on protected areas. To determine the ecological condition of landscapes of Yakutia and the general extent of anthropogenic transformation of landscapes in the existing protected areas system, ecological and geographical zoning of the territory of Yakutia was carried out in several stages. 5 extents of the transformation of landscapes (TL) were identified: satisfactory, tense, critical, crisis and catastrophic ecological situation. The existing protected areas network of Yakutia needs optimization by including in it those landscapes which are characterized by worse ecological state and restoration of natural communities in these territories.
