Abstract

Pranic agriculture is an emerging science in which pranic healing techniques are applied during the developmental stages of plants to enhance their growth. The present study aimed to understand the effectiveness of pranic treatment in improving the physical qualities of pole beans against non pranic treated pole beans referred to as control groups. Physical parameters including seeds germination, flower initiation, time taken for fruit development and fruit yield of pole beans were studied. There was increase in quantity of seed germination by 3.6 % in pranic treated seeds against the control. Also, a reduction in time duration to flowering and flowering to fruit set by 2.2% and 3.2% respectively was noticed in pranic treated groups when compared to control. Pranic treated pole beans also reported higher yield (0.49 kg) versus control (0.44 kg) per plant. Thus Pranic healing was found to be very effective in increasing the overall quality of pole beans. Further studies are warranted to evaluate the nutritional composition and sensory analysis of pranic treated pole beans against the control.
