ADAPTATION OF THE EUROPEAN TRAFFIC POLLUTION MONITORING PROCESS TO SAINT PETERSBURG, RUSSIAVLADIMIR NIKOLAEVICH LOZHKIN, OLGA VLADIMIROVNA LOZHKINA, SERGEY NIKOLAEVICH TEREKHIN ALEXANDER SERGEYEVICH KRUTOLAPOV, VITALI ALEKSANDROVICH ONOV AND VLADIMIR ILYICH KOMASHINSKIYAbstract The European methods of monitoring chemical air pollution by urban transport in terms of physical and monetary damage were adapted to Saint Petersburg conditions. The implementation of the information system for the long-term forecasts of complex chemical air pollution by urban transport cars, trams, trolley buses, suburban electric trains and subway is shown in the context of Saint Petersburg. It was determined that the highest ecological effect for Saint Petersburg is to be expected at future updating of the on-the-road fleet to Euro-4 and Euro-5.
