CHLOROPHYLL ESTIMATION IN SOME MINOR FRUITS OF ASSAM

Abstract

Leaves of six different minor fruits viz., Baccaurea sapida, Dillenia indica, Flacourtia jangomas, Parameria polyneura, Rhus semialata and Syzygium jambos were taken for estimation of total chlorophyll. Among these six fruits Flacourtia jangomas leaves were found to contain highest total chlorophyll while, the lowest chlorophyll content was recorded in Baccaurea sapida.
