Abstract

Mungbean yellow mosaic disease is an important disease of urdbean in India, because it causes huge losses in production of urdbean. Present investigation was conducted to evaluate one combination of seed treatment with imidacloprid 17.8 SL @ 5 ml/kg and two foliar sprays with conventional and non-conventional chemicals: imidacloprid @ 0.03 %, acetamiprid @ 0.03 %, multiplex @ 0.5 %, FeSO4 @ 0.5 % and K2HPO4 @ 0.5 % against MYMV of urdbean at T.C.A., Dholi, Muzaffarpur, during summer 2013 and Kharif 2013. Among the treatments tried, maximum disease suppression was obtained in seed treatment with imidacloprid 17.8 SL @ 5 ml/kg seed along with two foliar sprays with imidacloprid 17.8 SL @ 0.03% recorded 24.73 % disease reduction over control and brought out significant increase in the growth and yield parameters assessed resulted in maximum seed yield (2.68 g per plant) and recorded highest net returns (Rs. 14927.00/ha) with ICBR of 1:11.40.
