INFLUENCE OF POTASSIUM AND MICRONUTRIENT ON SEED YIELD, DRY MATTER, NUTRIENT CONCENTRATION, NUTRIENT UPTAKE, SOIL FERTILITY STATUS AND SOIL HEALTH IN GREEN GRAM (VIGNA RADIATA L. WIKZEK) UNDER VERTISOLParamita Deb, Bapi Das2 and V. D. PatilAbstract A Field experiment was conducted during 2013-14 at experimental farm of Department of Soil Science and Argil. Chemistry, Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani, Maharastra, to study the effect of potassium and micronutrient on yield, dry matter, nutrient concentration, nutrient uptake, soil fertility status and soil health in Green gram under Vertisol. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with eight treatments replicated thrice. The findings of study revealed that highest seed yield(g plant -1), drymater (kg ha-1) and highest N, P, K, concentrationin plant was recorded by the application of RDF + 50 kg K2O ha-1 + Grade I micronutrient followed by RDF + 50 kg K2O ha-1 + Grade II (0.5%) micronutrient. Whereas micronutrients i.e. Fe, Zn, Cu and Mn concentrations in plant were found highest with the application of RDF + 50 kg K2O ha-1 with either Grade I or Grade II micronutrient. Application of RDF + 50 kg K2O ha-1 + Grade I micronutrient showed maximum uptake of N, P, K, and micronutrients in green gram plant and grain followed by RDF + 50 kg K2O ha-1+Grade II micronutrient foliar spray. The uptake of Cu, Mn was more with application of RDF + 50 kg K2O ha-1 + Grade II (0.5%) micronutrient at pod development stage. While, application of RDF + 50 kg K2O kg ha-1 + Grade I micronutrient recorded significantly higher uptake of Cu, Mn at flowering stage.
