Abstract

The study was conducted to characterize and delineate the study areas for macronutrient status of some selected soil series of Tal land areas in Patna district. The GIS spatial model is to help to study the various physic-chemical properties of some selected soil series. The overall results indicated that, 100 per cent samples were non saline in nature. Whereas, in case of soil reaction i.e., soil pH, cent per cent samples were normal to alkaline nature. In respect of macronutrient status in soil, cent per cent samples were nitrogen deficient in nature whereas, phosphorus and potassium varies from low to medium in nature of surface and sub-surface soils. The overall results indicated that land cover or land use to determine the best sites for growing different crops after best management practices for poor farmers belong to Tal land areas of Patna district.
