EFFECT OF ETHINYL-ESTRADIOL ON GROWTH OF FRY OF ROSY BARB, PUNTIUS CONCHONIUS

Abstract

After 15 days of treatment, there were significant differences observed in body length (P < 0.05) and body weight (P < 0.05) in case of the 1 mg treatment. The observations of the treatment 5 mg after 15 days revealed highly significant differences in the growth of body length (P < 0.001) and body weight (P < 0.001). After 30 days of treatment using 5 mg there were significant differences in the growth of only the body length (P < 0.01) as compared to that of control. The observations which were made after 45 days and 60 days of treatment revealed no significant differences in growth among both the treatments as compared to that of control.
