IN-VITRO EVALUATION OF PLANT EXTRACTS AGAINST THE GROWTH OF ERWINIA CHRYSANTHEMIB. A. Vasundhara and N. ThammaiahAbstract Among the twelve plant extracts tested at 10 per cent concentration, leaf extract of Adhatoda vasica and clove extract of Allium sativum were found to be effective in inhibiting the growth of the pathogen (7.33mm). At 15 per cent concentration, corm extract of Ferula asafoetida was found to be effective in inhibiting the growth of the pathogen (7.33mm) followed by Siam weed (7.0mm) and Nerium oleander (7.0mm). At 20 per cent concentration, the maximum inhibition (9.0mm) was recorded in clove extract of Allium sativum followed by Nerium oleander (8.66mm) and Saim weed (8.0mm). At 1:1 concentration, clove extract of Allium sativum (8.00mm) and leaf extract of Mirabilis jalapa (7.16mm) were found to be effective in inhibiting the growth of the pathogen.
