Abstract

This study deals with the total phenolics as well as total flavonoid content of aqueous extract of Aegle marmelos (L.) Corr obtained from different agro climatic localities, were determined. Overall phenolics determination was done spectrophotometrically by FC reagent furthermore represented the same mg of GAE/g of sample which varied in between 7.02 to 19.21 mg of GAE/g, Overall flavanoids were determined between 7.32 to 22.21 mg of Quercetin /g. Total phenolic as well as total flavonoid content confirmed the variability depending on the agroclimatic circumstances of the provinces. Results pointed out that ecological as well as climatic circumstance within diverse province could direct to the considerable divergences together in the substance of bioactive amalgams. Hence, it may be accomplished that A. marmelos can be utilized as an alternative medication.
