COMPUTER MODELLING IN GEOTHERMAL WATERS RESERVOIRS EXPLOITATION ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE KHANKALA DEPOSIT

Abstract

The article deals with the application of computer technologies in the development of geothermal waters deposits. The problem of a possible reduction of the temperature in production well after the long-term reinjection of used geothermal waters and methods of solving it are discussed. Forecast of the evolution of the Khankala deposits XIII layers resource by modelling is presented. Doublets installation options in the study area are analyzed: the distance between production and injection wells, the impact of faults and the natural flow of groundwater. Recommendations on the Khankala deposit exploitation are given according to the results of the reinjection simulation.
