PRODUCTION OF BIODEISEL FROM WASTE RICE BRAN COOKING OILREETU WADIA AND CHHAYA REKHATEAbstract This paper deals with the etherification and transesterification method used from rice bran oil of fresh and waste cooking oil with methanol to produce biodiesel in presence of potassium hydroxide (KOH) as a catalyst and sulphuric acid. The physical properties of rice bran biodiesel viscosity, flash point, pour point, cloud point, water content and density were compared with Indian standard specifications.
