BIODIVERSITY OF OSTRACODS IN VEPAMPATTU, TAMILNADU-INDIAN. UMA CHANDRA, K. REVATHI AND V. REKHAAbstract The present study is based on planktonic Ostracods collected from Vepampattu pond twice a month over a period of two years (January, 2004 to December, 2005) and from September 2004 to March 2005 from Vepampattu pool which is located in Thiruvallur District, Tamilnadu, India. In total, four species belonging to three genera were identified. The detailed description of Ostracods recorded during this study is presented for substantiating the taxonomic relevance of the study.
