RAVEENDRANAbstract Mangroves constitute unique ecological niche for several communities of flora, fauna and microorganisms. Mangrove ecosystem is being destroyed by a number of anthropogenic activities. The influence of one such activity, i.e. hospital waste disposal on mangroves is being highlighted in this paper.
