Shivangi Shukla, Savita Singal and D.K. Sharma

Abstract

Household consumption is one of the important factors to induce CO2 emission. Change in lifestyle and increase in living expenditures with income growth may lead to increase in CO 2 emission. This paper aims to estimate CO 2 emission induced by household consumption and then to suggest them to offset the amount of CO 2. The paper calculated the inventory of CO 2 emission in Hisar city. The results indicated that the highest amount of CO 2 was by those families, who had high income level.
