SOIL ENZYMATIC ACTIVITY AS A MEASURE OF SOIL HEALTHARUNDHUTI DEVIAbstract A literature review on soil enzymatic activity as a measure of soil health is presented. It was concluded that heavy metals play a significant role in the above. Petroleum hydrocarbons were also found to be significantly altering the soil enzymatic activity.
