IN-VITRO EVALUATION OF ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITY OF STEM BARK EXTRACTS OF DELONIX ELATAB. GANGA RAO AND T. RAGA SUDHAAbstract Ethyl acetate, chloroform and methanol extracts of Delonix elata stem bark was investigated for in-vitro antibacterial and antifungal activities by cup-plate method. The methanol extract was found to be more effective the the chloroform and ethyl acetate extracts. The results of the study indicates that the stem bark have potential antimicrobial activity and is concentration dependent.
