EUTROPHICATION: OF LOWER LAKE OF BHOPAL, INDIASUCHI TIWARI, SAVITA DIXIT AND S.K. GUPTAAbstract The present study of the Lower lake of Bhopal, India reveals that the lake sediments contain much higher concentration of phosphates than the surface water. Eutrophication results in depletion of dissolved oxygen 'content of water thus reducing its quality.
