WATER POLLUTION MONITORING OF MULA AND PAVANA RIVERS FROM PUNE (INDIA) URBAN AREANASER JAFARI GHAVZAN V.R. GUNALE AND B.R. PISALAbstract The present work has been carried out on fresh water rivers, namely, Mula river and Pavana rivers. These rivers located Pune urban area, in the State of Maharashtra, India. The water sampling points were selected downstream of streams carrying wastewater in the rivers. The water samples were estimated for important physical and chemical parameters during October 2003 to January 2004. The key parameters were analyzed to understand changes in water quality due to pollution.
