INFLUENCE OF MLICLINA PRL1RIENS ON ENDOSULFAN TREATED MALE RATSV.BALAMURUGAN, R.SENTHIL KUMAR AND A.MARY VIOLET CHRISTYAbstract Testis is an organ very sensitive to even very low levels of such toxic chemicals. Endosulfan is an chemical and mutagenic for bacterial and yeast cells,Kindneys,liver and parathyroid glands are mainly affected. Mucuna pruriens is a medically important plant and is widely used for cure many diseases like diabetes, snakebite, ulcers and toothache etc and is not only acts as a potent cure for the endosulfaninduced toxicity but also is used to prepare various formulations, which are used as medicines or remedies against different diseases. The rats are grouped into I, II, III & IV. Each contains five animals. The first group of animals called control(without treatment). The second group treated only endosulfan. The third group animal considered as control for Mucuna pruriens. The fourth group treated Mucuna pruriens with endosulfan. The experiment duration is 30 days. Mucuna pruriens acts a potent curative for endosulfan induced testicular toxicity. Mucuna pruriens is a natural source for the preparation of potent formulation that can for the insecticide induced toxicity.
