COLLECTION, IDENTIFICATION AND ETHNOPHARMACOLOGY OF MEDICINAL FLORA OF NARMASHIR AND BARAVAT AREA IN KERMAN PROVINCE IN IRAN

Abstract

During 2011–2012 species were collected from Kerman area of Iran, from different localities of this area; 84 species of them were more important from the point of view of traditional uses, 50 species belonging to 26 families have medicinal values. The largest medicinal family is Lamiaceae and Asteraceae and Apiaceae with 5 species (15 species together). Persian and local names along with localities of distribution, altitude, herbarium number, therapeutic effect, method of consumption and utilizable organs for all species were collected. Most of the plants were Phanerophytes.
