SITARMAAbstract The dithiocarbamates react with dithianon in acetonitrile in 2:1 molar ratio to form red-violet soluble products showing Amax at 520 nin, has been made the basis of spectrophotometric (both direct colorimetric as well as photometric titrimetric) methods for the determination of dithiocarbamates. The methods have been successfully adapted to the analysis of dithiocarbamate-based fungicides viz. ziram and zineb, in their formulated products and residues (on grains).
