Abstract

Physieo-chemical properties viz., pH, electrical conductivity and fluorine content of termite mounds and their adjacent soils and ground waters were studied in Podili area (endemic fluorosis) and non-fluorosis area (Triupati), for the purpose of comparison. These results have revealed that the termite mound is not only an indicator of the ground water but also serves as a tool to predict its fluoride content.
