PHYSICO-CHEMICAL ANALYSIS OF MACHNA ANNICUT DAM WATER WITH RESPECT TO ITS SUITABILITY FOR DRINKING' AND IRRIGATION PURPOSED.S. SALUJA AND PRAVEEN JAINAbstract Quality of Machna Annicut dam water at Betul was studied for a period of 4 months to assess the suitability of the dam water for irrigation and drinking purpose. The key parameters for irrigation purpose were electric conductance, percentage sodium and sodium absorption ratio while drinking purpose, physical and chemical parameters were used. The water quality was found suitable for both.
