STUDIES ON THE EFFECT OF DOMESTIC SEWAGE ON THE GROWTH AND YIELD OF VIGNA WING (L) HEPPERB. KANNABMAN AND C.C. HARILALAbstract A study has been carried out in field under natural environmental conditions to find out the effect of two concentrations (50% and 100%) of domestic sewage on the growth. bio chemistry and yield of the crop plant Vigrur miingo (L.) Hepper at six stages of growth at an interval of 15 days from 15 DAS (days after sowin) to 90 DAS. sewage used for the present study showed an enhanced effect on vegetative growth at 100% conc. whereas 50% concentration was found to inhibit vegetative growth with simultaneous increase in the yield of seeds. Hence 50% concentration of sewage was found ideal for better yield.
