IMPACT OF FENVALERATE ON THE BEHAVIOURAL RESPONSES OF THE FRESHWATER FISH, LABE° ROHITA (HAMILTON)

Abstract

In the present study the fish, Labe° whit° were exposed to median lethal and sub lethal concentration of fenvaerate. -I he behavioural aspects of fish changed and these changes like repeated opening and closing of opercula covering hyper-extension of all fins, cock-screw swimming, S-jerks, coughing, burst-swimming were observed in median lethal concentration. In sub lethal concentration these are found to lesser degree_
