EFFECT OF NATURAL DYES ON THE CHLOROPHYLL AND STARCH CONTENT OF GRAM CICER ARIETINURNSheikh Rubeena, R.C. Sharma & G.P. Pandey
Gram seeds were germinated in a solution of natural dyes and their chlorophyll and starch content was estimated. The difference in the content with increasing time interval and dye concentration was compared with the control samples. It was found that thedifference with increasingtime interval was significant and with increasing dye concentration was insignificant. This was proved by applying analysis of variance to the results obtained in the above experiments.
