M.R. Rajan and C. Nithya

Abstract

The present study deals with the isolation of bioflocculam producing. microbes from Tannery polluted soil. Three bioflocculan! producing strains were isolated by using standard spectrophotomelenc method and out of which strain 1 and strain 3 having good flocculating activity and were identified as Trichococcus flocculzformis and psendomonas fluorescent by using motility, drains staining and biochemical analysis. The optimum incubation period, pH and temperature of Trichococcusflocculiformis and Pseudomonasfluorescent were 5 days. 8 & 9 and 35 6r. 40"C respectively.
