HYDROBIOLOGICAL STUDY OF PERCOLATION TANK OF VILLAGE DASANED. C. Pendse, Yogesh Shastri and V. P. BarhateAbstract Dasane percolation tank is located near Malegaon (Nasik) Maharashtra, has been studied for its physico-chemical characteristics in relation to algae. Three sampling stations were selected. Water and algal samples were collected from 3 sampling stations. In all 45 taxa of algae were identified from percolation tank of Dasane. During present investigation taxa from Caynophyceae, Chlorophyceae, Bacillariophyceae and Euglenophyceae were identified. Physico-chemical characteristics and algal taxa indicate that the water was polluted.
