Abstract

A total of 75 groundwater samples were collected from 25 different villages of Jind District of Haryana state and analyzed for the evidence of fluoride content. Some other parameters, Viz., pH, EC and total hardness were also determined. Results showed that fluoride content in the groundwater of the studied area is heterogeneously distributed which varied even well to well in the same village. Some samples have fluoride content as high as 14 ppm. An attempt has been made to correlate pH, EC, total hardness with fluoride content.
