CONCEPT OF ELEMENTAL CONCENTRATION RATIO WITH REFERENCE TO EVOLUTIONARY STATUS OF PLANT SPECIES

V.K. Singh and A.K. Mishra

Abstract

Database generated through the chemical analysis of Echinops echinatus growing on Uranium mineralised zone of singhbhum Thrust Belt (STB) of jharkhand Provides the basis of discussion of the present communication. Perusal of literatures, sharply underline the fact that variability exists in the plant /soil elemental Concentration Ratio values. It is assumed that a clear pattern may be obtained if the genetic parameters of the plant species are taken into consideration while interpreting the database.
