SOCIAL FORESTRY AS ENVIRONMENTAL PURIFIER

Abstract

Forestry Conservation in India is about 125 years old. Some of the best preserved forests of the world are still to be found. In prehistorical,Aryans were worshipers of nature.The epic Vedas, Upnishads were composed by our sages singing "May the God, The water, The plants and Forest trees accept our prayers." The Purans (ancient Indian Scriptures said "One tree is equal to I 0 sons because tree means water, water means bread and bread means life."
