Abstract

Jerdon's Courser (Cursorius bitorquatus) commonly called "Double banded" Courser is a critically endangered Bird found in Sri Lankamalleswaram Wild life Sanctuary, Andhra Pradesh. Bird survey conducted for 3 years for the first time revealed that there are 15 birds in the core habitat area covering 12 Sq. Km. Birds were sighted only in this core habitat area frequently than in other parts of the sanctuary.
