ASSESSMENT OF GROUNDWATER QUALITY IN KOLHAR AREA, DISTRICT AHMEDIAGAR, MAHARASTHRA, INDIA

Abstract

In the present paper an attempt has been made to study the physicochemical characteristic of groundwater in Kolhar area during the period from November I 998 to April 1999. The quality parameter viz, pH, Ca , Mg, Na,PS,, SO,,Ta,T and indices like SAR, RSC, SSP arid KR were investigated.The study indicates that some modification and remedial steps in existing water supply are needed. In general, water quality is satisfactory at all sites except one.
