BIODEGRADATION OF PAP FACTORY EFFLUENT : ROLE OF CEILLUKAYTIC FUNGI

Abstract

Five fungi with different abilities to degrade cellulose were selected from the various fungal species isolated from the paper factory effluent. They were studied for their cellulolytic activity and mode of action with reference to the possibility to employ them singly or in combination to degrade cellulose in the paper factory effluent.
