PHOSPHORUS-SULPHUR INTERACDON IN RAPESEED (BRASSICA CAM PESTRIS L VAR. TORIA)Prashant Srivastava, Room Singh and P.C. SrivastavaAbstract A pot experiment was conducted on a clay loam soil (Aquic Hapludoll) to examine the effect of P and S application and their interaction on yield, P and S concentration and uptake of rapeseed and their availability in soil. The seed yield increased significantly only due to application of S @ 24 and 36 mg kg-'. P and S levels and their interaction significantly influenced the concentration of P and S in stover. Uptake of P and S by seed and stover were significantly increased due to their application, both individually and in combination. Availability of P or S in soil increased due to the application of the other nutrient; the magnitude of increase was higher, especially at lower and medium application rates of the nutrient in question.
