BASELINE STUDIES ON AQUATIC FLORA AND FISH FAUNA AROUND KAKRAPAR ATOMIC POWER STATION

Abstract

A detailed study of biotic survey on aquatic vegetation and fish fauna was conducted from seven spots around Kakrapar Atomic Power Station (KAPS) at Surat district of Gujarat State. The work was done one year prior to starting the atomic power plant. Total seventeen species of aquatic angiosperm plants and thirty eight species of fishes from nineteen different families were reported from the study area.
