PHYSICO-CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF A FRESH WATER POND OF KATIHAR, BIHAR, INDIA

Abstract

The Physico-chemical and bioloigical characteristics of a freshwater pond of Katihar town (Bihar) were investigated for the parameters like temperature, pH, alkalinity, heavy metals, phytoplankton, zo_ the etc. It was observed that several important constituents have crossed the pollutional of e water whereas some of the factors are favourable for the production of air breathing fishes.
